Today’s Strong Female is Nellie Bly (Elizabeth Jane Cochran, b. 5 May 1864 – d. 27 Jan 1922) [1]:
Why is she strong?
She was a journalist in the late 1800’s, completely unafraid of the challenges before her. She invented a new kind of investigative, undercover journalism, which led to the exposure of horrendous conditions in different countries and in insane asylums. She also went around the world in 72 days, beating the record set by the fictional Phineas Fogg.
Keep it civil, people.
