Why is she strong?
She chose to take her cooking expertise and share it with the rest of us via PBS. Every so often she shared time with other chefs such as Jacques Pepin, though she did not feel at all daunted to express her opinion as to the proper amount of olive oil on a foccacia. As she came to cooking at around 30 years of age, she makes the rest of us who came late to love cooking feel ever so much better . Did I mention her WWII spying? Because she was totally a spy then.
