Today’s strong female is Admiral Grace Hopper (b. 9 Dec 1906, d. 1 Jan 1992.)
Why is she strong?
She was a rear admiral for the United States Navy and a computer scientist. She created modern computer languages, literally removed a moth from a computer, and made compiling a thing for computers to do. Every current computer scientist and tech nerd owes her respect.
Did I mention she started doing this sort of thing in the first half of the last century, when there were few positive strong female role models in computation, academia, or the US Navy?
Also, while I can find no evidence of this, I can only assume that she and Alan Turing teamed up during WWII.
Keep it civil people.
